It was back in the post war period when the Santero brothers Leopoldo, Renzo, Aldo e Adelia, following their father Pietro’s footsteps, who had already started to produce wine in a small farm in Cafasso, consolidated their entrepreneurial spirit. In 1958, among thousanduncertainties, with only one -fifth of the money necessary to buy it, they purchased and started a winery placed in Santo Stefano Selbo equipped for the production of sparkling and still wines.
The impressive and etremely modern winery cover an area of 25,000 square meters with a total storage capacity of 120,000 hectoliters of which 80,000 are heat-conditioned. The analysis and research laboratory is very well equipped and can guarantee a constant and strict quality control during the different winemaking process. The winery average production capacity ranks Santero among the leaders of the wine industry.
The Langhe and Monferrato, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, represent the area of origin of the white Muscat grapes destined to the production of Asti DOCG and Moscato d’Asti DOCG. The total surface area planted with white muscat vine is approximately 9,700 hectares and there are more than 4,000 companies involved in the production.

Dilé is a range of wines that leaves their mark, or an “imprint” wanting to use the literal translation from the Piedmontese dialect. A deep and identifying trait that derives from the unique combination of vineyard, grapes and winemaking process.
