The Fairs of Tastes are the leading international trade fair in the Ho-Re-Ca (Hotel, Restaurants, Catering) field in the wider region and attract more than 20,000 visitors from home and abroad every year. The Fair is therefore an indispensable link between employees and experts in the profession, as well as the interested professional public. With the help of the Fairs of Tastes, the area is gaining expertise and a well-deserved place on the map of services and activities renowned for their quality and innovation. They keep pace with progress and give space to technological innovation in the field, but essentially remain true to the primary role of the Fairs as a medium – emphasizing the importance and quality of the personal contact that opens the door to the world.

At the fair we were not only present as exhibitors but also as a business partner of the fair. As a result, in cooperation with the organizers of the fair and the Association of Barman of Slovenia, we prepared a number of activities through which you could get to know our existing offer specially selected for this fair and many novelties on the market. The president of the association Mr. Aleš Ogrin opened the fair by presenting the official cocktail of the fair prepared with the products from our offer.

In collaboration with the Slovenian Association of Bartenders and the organizers of the fair, we have prepared and conducted an international bartender competition VENKA VOJO TROPHY 2020. Bartenders from Finland, Switzerland, Austria, Serbia and Slovenia have appeared in two categories: non-alcoholic cocktails and fancy drink (Bartender’s choice). In the preparation of the non-alcoholic cocktail, the bartenders basically had to use soft drinks: GinISH or RumISH, which are based on rum flavored cane and the use of mineral water. The competition was also considered a national championship. The title of national champion in the category of non-alcoholic cocktails for 2020 was won by Edin Halačević, Cubis Restaurant, Senčur, 2nd place Rok Dobnikar, Gostilna Dobnikar, Topol, Medvode and 3rd place Draga Kepeš, Kaval Group, Ljubljana. The prize for professional work was awarded to Edin Halačević, Cubis restaurant, Šenčur. In the international competition in the preparation of non-alcoholic cocktails, 1st place was won by Stefan Ludwig-SBU Switzerland, 2nd place by Janiina Kuosa-FBSK Finland and 3rd place was won by Dominic Wolf-ÖBU Austria. In preparing the fancy cocktail, the bartenders essentially had to use one of our alcoholic products: Tiki Lovers White Rum, Vodka Moskovskaya, Gin Crespo or Gorky List Herbal Liqueur. The winner was Tomaž Fartek-DBS Slovenia, 2nd place went to Edin Halačević-DBS Slovenia and 3rd place went to Dominik Wolf-ÖBU Austria. The prize for best work was awarded to Dominik Wolf-ÖBU Austria, the DECO Cup – Rok Dobnikar-DBS Slovenia prize and the DNA Cup prize to Božidar Stojanović – Association of Bartenders from Novi Sad, Serbia.
We also organized a series of seminars and professional training courses, in which the news and current market trends were presented. Visitors had the opportunity to get to know the products and their use more closely.
